"It is better for a man to be silent and be [a Christian], than to talk and not to be one. It is good to teach, if he who speaks also acts." - St. Ignatius of Antioch

Hijacked!!
Let someone dare suggest that this nation has the absolute moral right and legal obligation to regulate the manner and numbers of individuals who seek to immigrate to this country and a hoard of Bishops will trip over their brothers' feet to get to a microphone and condemn the heartless Catholics who make such a suggestion.
Yet, let Planned Parenthood kill and cut human beings into parts for resale and nary a prolonged and outraged episcopal whisper is heard.
Suggest doubling the hourly wage, providing free health care, or increasing welfare benefits and find an army of prelates insisting we have an absolute moral obligation to do so. Few of these same men will utter a single word about salvation, sin, hell or such intrinsic evils as cohabitation, contraception, in-vitro fertilization, euthanasia or the active homosexual lifestyle.

"Social justice" - not the salvation of souls - has become the eternally bankrupt and erroneous focus of our Churches. This is not what our beloved Lord intended:
"Jesus sends his Apostles to
announce that the Kingdom
of God, so long promised,
is imminent, and to manifest its spiritual aspects. Our Lord tells them exactly
what they have to preach: The. Kingdom of Heaven is at hand. He does not
say anything about freedom from the Roman yoke under which the nation was
suffering. He does not speak about what kind of social or political system they
were to live under, nor, indeed, about any other exclusively worldly matter.
Christ did not come for such a purpose, and they have not been chosen to
concern themselves with such things. They will live to bear witness to
Christ, to spread his teaching and to make all men sharers in his salvation."
(From In Conversation
With God, Vol 4:16.1, page 99 by Father Francis Fernandez).
Jesus' Church has been hijacked.
Lord open our eyes, hearts, minds and souls while there is still time to save souls and to seek and receive Your mercy.

There is confusion in the Church, no doubt, but is it due to the Church's "obstinate insistence" on preaching demanding moral principles?
After you have done so, click this link, read Monsignor Pope's article, and then ponder this one question: Are Monsignor Pope and I wrong?.

Blessed Antone-Frederic Ozanam
"[The goal of the St. Vincent de Paul Society] was not to help the poor. This was only a means. Our object was by the practice of Charity to strengthen ourselves in the Faith and to win others for it...Personal perfection and not the eradication of poverty per se is the primary goal of the Society."
