Out of The Mouths of Children - “So, Jesus would never ask us to do something that He knew would hurt us, right?"

“Jesus said: Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them; for to such belongs the kingdom of heaven." – Matthew 19:14

You don’t need to be a theologian to answer a young child’s questions. The answers are not very complex. Imagine overhearing a conversation like this:

A child asks her Daddy: “Isn't Holy Communion the Body, Blood, Soul and Divinity of Jesus?”
“Yes, sweetie, it really is Him.”
“And Daddy, doesn’t Jesus invite us to receive Him in Holy Communion?”
“Yes, sweetie, He does.”
“And does He love us Daddy?”
“More than we will ever really know, sweetheart.”
“So, He would never ask us to do something that He knew would hurt us, right?"
“No. No. Absolutely not! In fact, He told us that if we wish to be with Him in heaven for all eternity: ‘We must eat His Body and drink His blood’.
“So, I should never be afraid I might get physically sick from receiving Holy Communion?”
“That’s right. No one should ever fear that God would allow them to get sick from receiving Him worthily in Holy Communion.”
“But Daddy, why do so many others think differently? Why  have we been stopped from going to Mass and receiving Holy Communion?”
“Not everyone has the supernatural faith and trust in God that you do, sweetie.”

“Oh, Daddy, how sad God must feel when so many don’t trust Him.”

PRAYER TO BE PRESERVED FROM SUDDEN DEATH

MOST AMIABLE JESUS "I humbly implore Thee by Thy ignominious Scourging, The Crowning with Thorns, Thy Holy Cross, and by all Thy Goodness, not to permit me to pass out of this world without having received Thy most holy Sacraments." -Prayer of St. Vincent Ferrer

PRAYER OF ST. CATHERINE OF SIENA

"Eternal Father, all things are possible for You. Although You created us without our assistance, You will not save us unless we help. Therefore, I pray You re-create their wills so that they wish for what they do not wish for: I ask this of Your infinite mercy. You have created us out of nothing. Now that we exist have mercy on us. Re-make the vessel which You created in Your own image and likeness. Bring them back to Your grace through the grace and blood of You Son, the beloved Jesus Christ."
