Poor Clares of Perpetual Adoration
"The
most powerful thing we can do on this earth with our time is to spend it in
Eucharistic adoration. Nothing can do more to change the world, to bring about
peace, to convert hearts, to make reparation for the many evils committed.
Spending time in prayer may seem, on the outside, to be a passive thing;
however, it is anything but! Our world is in desperate need of hope, of
renewal, of a 'turning back' to the things of God. By visiting Our Lord in the
Blessed Sacrament, we take up the best weapon for the battles of our age and
contribute to the healing of our culture. Cultivating a Eucharistic life of
adoration also bears tremendous fruit in our own hearts and lives. We cannot
spend time in the rays of His Eucharistic Presence without receiving His grace,
His love, His mercy, His peace. As we gaze upon Him Face to face, we are
transformed little by little into a closer reflection of His divine image.”

Father Jose Gonzalez “As we celebrate the Feast of
the Baptism of the Lord, reflect today on your own baptism. You are forever
marked as a child of God. You encountered our Lord under the waters of
baptism, were cleansed of all sin, and were filled with sanctifying grace.
Though sin diminishes or even extinguishes that grace when it is mortal, the
Sacrament of Reconciliation restores it, and the Eucharist and other
sacraments increase it. Always return to your baptismal grace, seeking to
live out your identity as God’s son or daughter, as this sacred mark intends." (From Daily Reflection on January 11, 2026,
Our Lord’s Baptism) Rev. Cajetan de Bergamo “It is necessary to humble ourselves when we approach God with prayer to obtain some grace, because God does not regard nor heed nor impart His grace except to the humble ... When, therefore, you come to ask God for some grace of the body or of the soul, do you always remember to practice this humility? When we pray, and especially when we say the 'Our Father', we are speaking to God; and how many times when you are saying your prayers, do you speak to God with less respect than if you were speaking to one of your fellow creatures?" |
