Virtual Blog Tour - Mentored for Good by Keith Lilek

What a privilege it is to participate in this Virtual Book Tour!

In the past, I have been the beneficiary of authors who participated in Virtual Blog tours for several of my books.

When I am asked to reciprocate for a fellow author, I generally jump right in. That was the case when a friend asked me to take a look at Keith Lilek's Mentored for Good.

I had no idea who Keith was. I soon learned this about him:

He has dedicated himself to learning, absorbing knowledge, and living out the teachings of his faith...

He is happy with who he has become...but he didn’t get there by himself. He is the beneficiary of many God-inspired mentors throughout his life. Their guidance and wisdom have shaped him into the person he is today. Do you remember who lifted you at various times in your life? Who inspired you to actively change your course? He does. He remembers. He remembers them all. And he wants to share with you how their guidance and his willingness to learn transformed his life. He is forever grateful to them.

He has been married for 40 years and is blessed to have 4 children and 5 grandchildren.

He grew a successful software business from the ground up into a multi-million-dollar success story.

He is a generous man donating 100% of all book sales proceeds to any organization that promotes him.

He is a founding member and Past President of the largest Serra Club by membership promoting vocations to the priesthood and religious life.

He spends his retirement years enjoying his family, story-telling, songwriting, speaking, writing, and giving back for all the blessings he has received through his non-profit philanthropical ministry, Mentored from Above, LLC.

Keith tells us that his “unwavering faith is strengthened by the presence of the Divine Mercy Image of Jesus, which he keeps close to him at work and home. He has made it a habit to integrate his Catholic faith into every aspect of his life, and through his actions, he has become a mentor to others.

That's a piece of who Keith is. You can learn more about him in this short  promotional video.

What about the content of his book?

Like others who have participated in this blog tour, I was taken aback by the many personal testimonials that filled the beginning of the book. “Who begins a book that way?” I said to myself." Only a person who wants to assure his readers that he is an authentic and trusting soul who has walked the talk for some time and weathered the storms of life's challenges - the exact type of person who is able to mentor and teach others.

Then when I saw he wrote sonnets, I wanted to jump ship again. I HATED Shakespere and his sonnets. HATED, I say! There was no way I could get through Keith's book. My guardian angel whispered in my ear: "Show this man the respect to which he is entitled. You can read at least one of them before bailing out. This decent man deserves that much at least, doesn't he?"

Over the years I have learned not to ignore the promptings of this heavenly pest. So, I did as he suggested. I got through the first one and was willing to try another. I didn't stop until I had read the entire book. I enjoyed it! His writing style is unique and engaging. More importantly, I learned a great deal from those sonnets, two of them really resonated with me: A Dad Makes All the Difference and Fall on Your Sword.

You will enjoy Keith and this book. Copies are available at: Amazon PrintAmazon Kindle, and Audible.

Here are a few testimonials from the book:

"Keith Lilek is a man of passion - for God, for God's Word, for God's Church, for his wife and children, and for his friends. Keith feels deeply and writes from the gut. You will feel the tears and laughter that attend his work, and you might join him in those emotions. Keith is my friend. As you read, sense his soul. He might become your friend too.” Bill Ryan, Lake Lotawana, Missouri

“When I think of Keith Lilek, I think of the words commitment and leadership. He is deeply committed to Jesus, the Catholic faith, his wife, children, and friends. His leadership is a model for all of us in his work life, family life and faith life. It is a blessing to have Keith continuing to lead so many of us by utilizing the great gifts God has given him. Matt Kemnitz, Atchison, Kansas

“I have known Keith for just about 4 years. I’m proud to call him my friend. I do believe he is writing from his heart and any time when a person does that it can be very inspiring to other people. My prayer for Keith writing is that it will inspire people to seek Jesus Christ and he becomes their savior. Rev. Lewis Hurtt, Kansas City, Missouri

“I like Keith. His writing life lessons in sonnet form is a pleasant surprise. Very entertaining and thought provoking. Keith has tackled the ever-crowded field of inspirational writing in a fun and amusing way with sonnets, clever illustrations, scripture, and reflections to ponder their influence in our lives. Nice work! Brian Sullivan, Bestselling Author and Radio Host

PRAYER TO BE PRESERVED FROM SUDDEN DEATH

MOST AMIABLE JESUS "I humbly implore Thee by Thy ignominious Scourging, The Crowning with Thorns, Thy Holy Cross, and by all Thy Goodness, not to permit me to pass out of this world without having received Thy most holy Sacraments." -Prayer of St. Vincent Ferrer

PRAYER OF ST. CATHERINE OF SIENA

"Eternal Father, all things are possible for You. Although You created us without our assistance, You will not save us unless we help. Therefore, I pray You re-create their wills so that they wish for what they do not wish for: I ask this of Your infinite mercy. You have created us out of nothing. Now that we exist have mercy on us. Re-make the vessel which You created in Your own image and likeness. Bring them back to Your grace through the grace and blood of You Son, the beloved Jesus Christ."
