Good Friday Reflection
This is not just another Friday. This is Good Friday. Will that fact make any difference in the way we live this day? For far too many of us, today will likely pass much like any other Friday - a mad rush to get to the weekend with little thought of He Who made us and whose sacrificial and brutal death redeemed us. I want to send this out to everybody I know. Implied here is reading the Bible, for which there is a partial indulgence if one devoutly reads Sacred Scripture.From the Enchiridion:

A partial indulgence is granted to the faithful, who with the veneration due the divine word make a spiritual reading from Sacred Scripture.
A plenary indulgence is granted if one extends this reading to a half hour, all other conditions for a plenary indulgence being met.
When was the last time we heard of this from the pulpit?
