How Many Times Must We Hear This Truth?

Until it sinks in. Probably until our last breath...

  1. I want to send this out to everybody I know. Implied here is reading the Bible, for which there is a partial indulgence if one devoutly reads Sacred Scripture. From the Enchiridion:

    50. Reading of Sacred Scripture (Sacrae Scripturae lectio)
A partial indulgence is granted to the faithful, who with the veneration due the divine word make a spiritual reading from Sacred Scripture.

A plenary indulgence is granted if one extends this reading to a half hour, all other conditions for a plenary indulgence being met.

When was the last time we heard of this from the pulpit?
